ie, chipboard, acrylic, flash card.... etc.
I have used cereal boxes for this as well as flash cards.... you just need it
to be sturdy enough!

3 or 4 pages in a week?!

Well.... I may be crazy... LOL but you can do this!
Honestly, it's not as difficult as you may think!

You can make it ROUND.... FLOWER SHAPED.... SQUARE.... any shape you want!

Decorate it for any occasion using any Cricut cart you have!

Celebration Challenge #3

That's right! I said CUPCAKES!!!

Your third challenge is to create a card or a LO
using a CUPCAKE!

Now, I know that several of you used a cupcake for the #2 challenge....
I couldn't help but laugh since I already had this challenge set-up to use a CUPCAKE!
So that means.... you have to stretch your creative minds a little further and
come up with another CUPCAKE creation!!! : )

If you have DS (Design Studio) or the GYPSY....
this would be the perfect time to create the
GREATEST CUPCAKE EVER!!!!

Once again... These are great!

Many of you told me how difficult this was for you... and several of you also said that you weren't really satisfied with your final project for this challenge.... or that it was really out of your comfort zone!

Don't be discouraged!
That's the whole point of a "Challenge Blog"
Keep in mind that the object here is to get you to "expand your creativity".... to try new things... to take what you know and grow with it!

Each of you already knows HOW to scrapbook and making cards is no different that making a scrap book page! It's just a mini-version!!! And there is no right or wrong way!
We always want to strive to do our best... and as we learn and grow... our best improves!
We learn by doing.... we learn by seeing.... we learn by adding things to and taking away from....

so please.... please do not ever think that your work isn't good enough, or let a challenge discourage you, or worry about getting out of your comfort zone!

This is not something that our DT normally does but for some reason, when I heard about this child.... On my personal blog I have an ever-growning list of blogs I love to visit! There are a number of blogs in that list that just really "jump out" at me, so to speak ~ and I would like to share some of those with you...... don't just look at the first one or two projects...... you need to look at the first 3 or 4 PAGES! It doesn't take that long and you don't even have to read everything.... just look at the creations! If there is anything that you want to see a better picture of.... just double-click on the picture and it should enlarge for you..... I really find that this is a "learning tool" for me.... and hopefully it will be for you as well!

Challenge #25

** I just realized this morning (Friday) that I gave you three weeks to complete this challenge! That will actually work to our advantage since October 1st will be our kick-off for the Blog-iversay Celebration! **

To me, music is a form of poetry. I often find myself turning to music when I have a special picture that needs to be scrapped.

Here is my challenge to you...Create a scrapbook layout (or a card if you don't do LO's) that incorporates the lyrics of a song. You can use a single verse or the entire song. The key is to have fun with it. Use your STORYBOOK cartridge for the title ~ if you do not have Storybook then pick another cart to use, but if you have it, use it! Oh, and one more thing..... you have to use three (3) pictures in the LO!

Due date is........ October 1st.........

LOL! Is that even a word?! IDK... but for us it is!!!!!

That's right! In October we will be CELEBRATING our 1 year Blog-iversary!!!! Wooohoooo!
WOW! This first year has just flown by! We have had (and still have) many great crafters participate in our challenges and we are looking forward to another great year!!!

We have a few things up our sleeves to help us CELEBRATE our Blog-iversary! You Say Goodbye and I Say Hello!

I am not a huge Beatles fan, for which some may not like me, but I do like this song and thought its title perfect for this post. See, I am going to be stepping down for a little while as co-host of this amazing WSB challenge blog. The fabulous Cindy, whose baby this was from the beginning & was kind enough to offer me a DT/co-hosting spot from the start, is ready to step back up to the plate full time as your amazing host! She is such a great gal and I love the challenge she just posted the other day! It is going to be so much fun! She will be making sure new DT members come on board, that we get some rockin' guest designers, and that soon we will be having some great sponsors as well. For this I am so excited!

I am so excited because this is something that I had wanted so much to do with the site, but have not really had the time. Especially of late. I work full time, have an amazing family that I love to care for, and am blissfully happy creating projects whenever I can. However, the time I need to devote to the site in order for it to be everything it needs to be is something I do not have right now, no matter how much I wish I did. That, and I really enjoy the creative process more than anything. Which is why I am totally thrilled to say that I will be staying on the Design Team! I will very much be a part of the team, just in a different role for awhile. But not too worry, I won't be far! I will still help Cindy out whenever she needs me too and will still be sponsoring some blog candy for a guest designer!

So, for those that may have wondered what the heck had been going on lately...this is it. Cindy and I were sorting everything out and planning away. I am sorry if we momentarily left you in limbo & please forgive us! She has some great plans so everyone needs to stay tuned! WSB will be celebrating its first anniversary before too long and that itself is so exciting! So make sure you participate in the challenges for your opportunity to become one of our guest designers! And, make sure to apply for the DT as well! Change can be very exciting and right now is definitely a time for everyone to look forward to tomorrow! Challenge 23 - Coloriffic!

For this challenge we are going to do something fun and definitely a bit easier than the last challenge! Since it was pretty popular when we did it awhile back, we are going to do another color challenge! They are so much fun and I love seeing what each person comes up with each and every time we issue a new challenge!

We would like for you to create a layout, card or project of your choice using the chosen colors of green, sky blue, chocolate, pumpkin and white/cream. I just love all these colors together and think they are so bright and happy too! I do want to note that the inspiration for this color challenge came from kwernerdesignblog. There are always fabulous color challenges along with terrific project inspiration you can check out on the site!

As usual, the project will be due Sunday, August 16th. I will post the projects that Monday, August 17th. We would love for everyone to play with us and see what you come up with! If you would like to be featured as a guest designer for WSB, just send us your interpretation of this challenge! Our guest designers will also be awarded with some yummy candy too for playing along! Well, it looks like this challenge did exactly that - it definitely challenged our Design Team! It was definitely one of the hardest challenges we have ever done here on WSB - (even I have struggled with it & am still struggling - hehehe) - but as usual the girls rocked it out! I always am amazed by how different everyone's projects are! How everyone's interpretation is different and how they make such beautiful creations that meet the challenge requirements and match their style! We just have such a gifted DT!!

Challenge 22 - Vintage Inspiration

Ooops! Sorry everyone! I forgot to put our latest challenge up yesterday and completely apologize! Sometimes I don't know what I am thinking about! LoL!

For Challenge 22, we will be doing a project using a vintage ad for inspiration! I loved the look of this ad and thought we could get a variety of inspiration from it, be it the colors, the layout, the vintage feel, a family heirloom or heritage page...anything is possible! All you have to do is use your Cricut as much as you can to design a card, layout, or project - whatever your little heart wishes! And, if you would like, throw some embossing in there as well if you own a Cuttlebug!

The deadline for this challenge will be Sunday, August 2nd. Wow, I can't believe it is August already! The summer sure is flying by! Before long, the WSB will be having its one year anniversary! We will definitely be having one heckuva blog party then!

Challenge 20 - Animal Crackers!

Wow! Can you believe it? This is our 20th challenge for the WSB and I am so happy that we are still going strong! None of this would be possible without all of our wonderful DT members!

For this challenge, we would would love for you to use any of your Cricut carts that cut an animal. It can be any kind of animal you want it to be from any of the carts that allow this type of cut. You can make either a layout or a card with this project - it is totally up to you! Use your imagination and let's see some awesome creativity!

This challenge will be due July 6th with the projects being posted on Tuesday, July 7th. We are taking an extra day for this challenge since the July 4th holiday will fall on that weekend as well. We want to make sure we get everyone's challenge in and that they still are able to enjoy the festivities that weekend!

Also, we would love to hear from you! We would also love for you to play along with us too! If you would like to be a guest designer for WSB, then send us your interpretation of this layout! Challenge 19 - Alphabet Themed

Summer, Summer, Summer! Let's celebrate summer with a themed challenge! Not necessarily a summer themed challenge, but let's do an alphabet challenge. Using the letter "S" create a layout or card that uses that specific letter as a focal point! You can use any Cricut cartridge to cut the "S" just make sure that it is the main focus of the project. You can use it in your title, a name, a phrase, whatever your heart desires! If you want to make it summer related, no problem! Just don't feel that it has to be themed to this particular season. Just all the hot weather got me thinking and I didn't believe we had done an alphabet challenge in the past, so let's give it a whirl!

Projects will be due in two weeks, on Sunday, June 21st. You may email the projects to us at designteamcreations @ yahoo.com. We are super excited to see what everyone comes up with, especially our newest DT members! Just remember to have fun and challenge yourselves! And, if you would like to play along with us, we would love to see your work. Simply email your completed project to us to earn a spot as an upcoming Guest Designer! How about another sketch challenge everyone? This week over at Mojo Monday they have a super cute sketch. There is some awesome inspiration behind this sketch, and I encourage you to look at what they are doing here. If you think you can help in any way, please do so!
Since Father's Day is right around the corner (June 21st) let's take this sketch and turn it into a card for our dads, husbands, brothers, sons, etc. Let's design a masculine card based on the Mojo Monday sketch and using our trusty Cricuts! Use your imagination and let your creative juices flow! I can't wait to see all the amazing creations you are all going to come up with!

Deadline for the challenge will be Sunday, June 7th. The project will be posted the following Monday & a new challenge issued.

Calling All Crafters!!!

It is that time again and we are gearing up to add 8 new members to our DT! Below is a description of our challenge blog, the DT requirements, and submission guidelines. If you have any questions feel free to email us at designteamcreations@yahoo.com. If you are currently a DT member, you will be getting an email from us in the next few days about staying on with the DT! If you are a DT member who has not submitted for awhile, please feel free to apply for the current DT call!

Whimsical Scraps and Bugs DT Call

Whimsical Scraps and Bugs is a challenge site built solely around the awesome love we have for our Cricuts! We are currently looking for 8 amazing crafters to join our DT team and create projects based on our bi-monthly challenges.

The requirements to become a DT member are that you must own a Cricut Personal Electronic Cutting Machine. As well, if you also own a Cuttlebug that would be beneficial as we may feature some embossing in our challenges from time to time, however if you do not own a Cuttlebug that is okay and please still apply! It is not a deal breaker! We do expect that those chosen for the DT participate in the challenges that are issued every two weeks and turn their projects in on time as well. We do understand that life does sometimes happen and you will be allowed to miss one project if something unexpected comes up during your DT term. Communication is key and we would like to have members who are actively involved on our site and spread the word about Whimsical Scraps and Bugs to other sites as well. The DT term will run for three months and you will be required to become a member of the Cricut Message Board if you are not already. This is a wonderful online forum and a great way to communicate with fellow Cricut crafters!

To apply please email the following to designteamcreations@yahoo.com (subject DT CALL):
* send 3 submissions of your best work – 1 must be a layout, 1 must be a card, & the 3rd is your choice.
* a link to your blog, if you have one, and any message boards you post on.
* list of any DTs you are currently on and as a list of your publications, if any.
* list of all Cricut cartridges you own
* a short paragraph about yourself – where you live, what you like to do for fun, how you became a crafter, just tell us a bit about yourself!

While there is currently not any compensation for DT members, we do hope to bring on some sponsors in the coming months as well as award some prizes now and then! Also, international scrappers are welcome and encouraged to apply!

All DT submissions must be turned in via email no later than Wednesday, May 27th at midnight. The new DT members will be announced on our blog June 1st! If you have any questions, please feel free to email those to designteamcreations@yahoo.com as well.

Challenge 17

For challenge #17, how about a color challenge? I found a great blog, kwernerdesign, that features the neatest color challenges! I figured all of you would do brilliantly at this and it would be a lot of fun, too!

Since summer is just around the corner, I thought these colors suited the season just perfectly! We will be using brown, red, yellow, turquoise, and white to create either a card or a layout -it's your choice! You must also use your Cricut on this project and, if you own a Cuttlebug, let's throw in some embossing too!

The challenge will be due Sunday, May 24th. Make sure to check out the blog too as there are lots of neat challenges and ideas for you to discover! Also, if you would love to play along, just email us (designteamcreations@yahoo.com) your challenge project. Maybe you can even be featured on our blog, too! Whew! This challenge was kind of a difficult one! However, it was fun and the DT ladies came up with such cute ideas! I just love the inspiration from each and every one of them. Unfortunately, we only had a few able to participate this time due to some nasty bugs going around. Challenge 16

I probably should have thought of this a lot sooner, but oh well, it is still a good challenge regardless of when we do it! Since National Scrapbooking Day is this weekend I would like to do something in honor of what has touched all our lives and brought so many of us together, forging new friendships and bonds that last a lifetime.

For this challenge, please create a project (card, layout, altered item, etc.) that showcases why you scrap! It can be because of your family or friends, highlighting a photo of them; for creativity and stress relief, showing off a pic of your scrap space; or whatever else you come up with. Just show us why you do what you do and what inspires you to do it!

Only requirement here is to use your Cricut in the most creative way possible! Please take that extra step and really try to think outside the box or go outside your comfort zone by trying a new technique. There are so many wonderful inspirations out there. One of my fav ways to find something that moves me to create is to visit Google and search under the images feature. So many talented scrappers can be found and the inspiration is never ending!

So ladies, put on your thinking hats and craft your little hearts out! I can't wait to see all the amazing work I just know you are all going to come up with! Our usual deadline will apply, so plan on sending your projects in by Sunday, May 9th. As always, we would love for everyone else to play along! Please send us your creation via email and maybe we can feature you along with our DT's projects!

Challenge 15

The last challenge was so much fun and the DT results were just awesome! I am hoping that everyone enjoys doing this challenge just as much and has as much fun doing it too!

For this challenge we would like you to make either a card or a layout based on this sketch from Mojo Monday. I think it is quite the neat sketch and can be easily be used for whatever you choose. The only other requirement for this challenge is, other than the usual use your Cricut (!), is that you include your fav quote somewhere in the design. It can be a fav verse, scripture, or lyric - doesn't matter. Just make sure you include a quote that you really like.

Deadline for this challenge will be Sunday evening, April 26th. If you have any questions, just shoot us an email and I will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Challenge 14

Hello ladies!! It is time for another challenge and we are hoping you love this idea as much as Cindy and I do! Oh, and I am sorry for not posting this Tuesday - been pretty hectic for me at work so please forgive me!!

For this challenge we want you to create a layout ALL ABOUT YOU! Yes, just you - who you are, what you like, something special or unique - whatever you want others to know about you. This is a great project - especially for others to remember us by, like our children. So often we scrap everyone around us and everything that makes them unique, but we don't take the time to scrap another important memory - OURSELVES!

If you need inspiration, take a peek here. This is Beth Perry's blog and she is one awesome chick! This layout completely moved me and I love so many things about it - the colors, the idea behind it, the way she thought outside the box, it's vintage look - everything about it rocks and I hope you like it too. Make sure to check out the rest of her blog when you have time, too. Everything she does is simply awe inspiring! There are so many inspiring ideas out there, but I just wanted to give at least one great example.

The only requirements for this challenge are that you use your Cricut as much as possible. As always, give us your best creative effort. This is one memory that others will enjoy seeing when it is done. And think, when you look back on it five years from now, you will enjoy remembering what life was like at that very moment for you.

We will be keeping the same normal due dates for our projects, so just make sure it is in no later than Sunday evening, April 12. I am so excited about this challenge and hope you are too. I can't wait to get started on it! And, we would love to see what others come up with for this challenge too! So play along with us if you would like and email your finished layouts to designteamcreations@yahoo.com!

Challenge 13 Projects!

Well, Spring is in the air and it definitely shows in the work of our DT's latest projects! Everyone did a wonderful job and I love all the creativity that went into creating so many different types of projects ~ from signs to wall hangings to mini albums! I feel like I just can't ever say enough about how wonderful the DT Ladies truly are!!

I will say that there are only one or two photos for each project in this post. However, I would encourage every one of you to visit their individual blogs (click their names to go to their blogs!) to see ALL the photos for their projects. Some of the awesome creations have multiple pages and pics, so make sure to take a look the details of each one!

Challenge 13

Here we go again ladies! Time to take on another challenge and put all of your amazing talents to good use. This time, we have an EASTER theme.

With Easter right around the corner, Cindy and I thought this would be a great project for the DT. Some of you will remember the altered flashcard minibook we had you do for Christmas. Well, whip out those leftover flashcards because we are gonna alter them again!
For this challenge we would like you to alter the flashcards (if you don't have any laying around, you can pick them up at your local dollar store for about a buck) in an Easter theme. However, you don't have to make a minibook. You can use the Easter-altered flashcards however you like! Just use at least THREE to FIVE flashcards in your design. Use your creativity - we want to see you SHINE!

Make sure to use your Cricuts and have FUN! We will be going back to our regular schedule so these won't be due until March 27rh. So have fun with this challenge and start looking forward to our next challenge too! Cindy and I have already talked and decided Challenge 14 - I think it just might be our best yet!!

Challenge #12

Hello ladies! What an awesome job everyone did on Challenge 11! I am so proud of all the magnificent creativity we have on this board!

Cindy and I would like you to create a St. Patty's Day card for Challenge 12! The real challenge (well, maybe - LOL) will be that you will only have ONE WEEK to complete it. Since St. Patty's Day is Tuesday, March 17th, one week from tomorrow, we will expect all challenge entries to be turned in no later than Sunday, March 16th by 6 p.m. That will give us time to get them posted by Monday morning and give everyone some inspiring card ideas just in time for the green holiday!

The only thing you really have to do for this challenge is use your Cricut! We would love to see some funky and not so typical St. Patty's Day cards, too. Whatever you would like to do is fine; let your creativity shine through! Oh, and since green is also my fav color, please make sure to use at least one shade of green somewhere on your card!

Okay DT members - it is time for another challenge! For this project we would like to create a Valentines card. May seem kind of simple, but it is definitely not! We don't want simple! We want to see you at your creative best! Get wild and crazy! Try a new technique you been wanting to do! Dare to live outside the box! Challenge yourselves, ladies!!

The only thing we ask for this challenge is that you, of course, use your Cricut in some way, as well as ribbon. And we want a lot of ribbon! We want to see big, gorgeous bows on your amazing card creations! So....WOW! us ladies with your original works of card art! Good Morning Ladies! : ) I hope this finds you all well and warm! We've had nothing but ICE STORMS here in south-central PA and frankly.... I'm getting a little tired of looking out my window and seeing nothing but ice..... we have very little snow.... but lots of ice!!! And what's worse.... it's been this way since about Christmas!!!! Yes! THREE WEEKS OF ICE!!!! And as if that weren't enough... by mid-week we are to be down into the single-digits with wind and snow and who knows what else!!!!! **Yikes!!**

LOL! Well, enough of the whining! Let's get down to "cRafTiNg"!!!!

Here's the next challenge.... and for those of you sending submissions for Round #3 (and anbody else that wants to play along!) PLEASE feel free to join in...... We are going to use the ever-popular HEART! There are several Cricut carts that have a heart on them... you choose which one you want to use...... This should be a LO (layout)..... A N D ..... you will need to use the following colors... RED... PINK... WHITE.... we also want to see ribbon, buttons/beads, and any other embellisments that you like to use..... HOWEVER ..... here's the "twist"... DO NOT USE GLITTER!!!! I know that is going to be difficult for some but that's part of the "challenge"! LOL

Have fun with this challenge! Don't be afraid to try new things!!!! This will be due on January 24th!

It's that time again..... time to start accepting submissions for the next round of DT Members!

To those of you that are currently DT Members... WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO REMAIN ON THE TEAM! Just email us @ designteamcreations@yahoo.com to let us know that you are wanting to stay with us! : )

For those of you that are considering this.... here's what we do...... Every TWO WEEKS a new challenge is issued... you have that two week period to complete the challenge and email your completed results to us.... we post them for the world to see!!!! : )

The Challenges will range from using certain colors.... to making a card.... or perhaps a LO.... or a combination of whatever.... it could be altering something specific.... you never know (unless you check out the blog!).... BUT... no matter what the challenge is.... it will ALWAYS involve using a CRICUT CUT.... maybe from a specific cartridge or perhaps a particular shape will be assigned and you can use what ever cart you want that has that cut.... but it will always involve a Cricut Cut!

This is a fun way to Challenge yourself and to make some fantastic new friends! We are looking forward to getting your submissions and drooling over your creations! LOL

Challenge #4

I am super excited about Challenge #4 and I hope you will be too! We will be altering a barn star! The inspiration for this challenge comes from a scrapbooking magazine I read awhile back and for further inspiration, visit this link, http://because-estee-says-so.blogspot.com/2008/07/altered-barn-star-x-2.html

I absolutely love this idea and think that we can all have fun with it. I know that some may not have access to a metal barn star, but we can definitely come up with some alternatives because we want everyone to participate and have a blast! Any size barn star will do, but large or medium ones are probably easier to work with. If you can't get access to a metal one, a paper mache or wooden one from a craft store will do just fine. Or, you can even create a cut file on DS, too. That would provide even more of a challenge!

You can alter the star using any cartridges you would like, but let's keep a Christmas theme. These would make wonderful gifts for family or friends too. Also, make sure you incorporate some photos into the design as well. Some are strictly for home decor purposes, but we want ours to multi-task as home decor and scrapbooking works of art!

If you have any questions, feel free to either email or pm Cindy or I at any time. As well, if you would like more inspiration, simply type "altered barn star" into Google and click on images at the top. It pulls up quite a few ideas that everyone should find inspirational!

~ Challenge #3 ~

Good Afternoon Ladies! I hope this finds each of you anxiously awaiting the third challenge!

I've been pondering for weeks now exactly what I wanted this challenge to be.... it's been an interesting thought process to say the least! LOL I have searched tons of web-sites for ideas... and I have found so many things that I just adore... but I was really looking for something "different" that we could challenge you with... it's not a difficult challenge at all... and I'm hoping that you'll really enjoy doing this! I'm excited about seeing what each of you will do with this!

It's going to be a Christmas project of course... using whatever colors you want to use because I know that not everybody does the "red & green" traditional Christmas colors! LOL So here's where it's going to get a little "different"..............

We are going to make Mini Christmas Albums using Jumbo Playing Cards!

You can get these for a very low price at just about anywhere you can buy playing cards at. You can use whatever colors you like as I mentioned earlier... HOWEVER you will need to use either Christmas Cheer... Joys of the Season... or PDDU carts for any Christmas cuts to put on the "pages" of this album (or any other carts you have that you can get Christmas cuts from). I seen this on another site (the credit goes to Patter Cross) and I absolutely fell in love with this idea! You don't have to use the whole deck.... that would take way more than two weeks to do (unless you work all night and all day for several days straight! LOL) but I do want to see atleast 12 "pages" or more... these can be "bound" with a jump-ring... with ribbon... or any other way. I know what you are thinking... 12 pages?! Is she nuts?!..... no... I'm not nuts.... you just have to remember that these are a lot smaller than what you are used to doing and so 12 "pages" for this challenge won't be too hard! ; )

Ok, so here's the basic run-down of what you need to do....

1. Purchase a deck of Jumbo Playing Cards (unless you have a stash somewhere that's missing a few cards!)

2. Alter atleast 12 cards to make a mini Christmas album

3. Use cuts from PDDU... CC... JOTS... or any other cart with Christmas cuts on it

4. Bind your mini-album using a jump-ring... ribbon... or whatever else you have to use

5. BLING!!! BLING!!! BLING!!! I want to see B*L*I*N*G

6. Use brads... eyelets.... anything and everything!

7. Use any colors you choose

I think these would make adorable Christmas gifts! They are so inexpensive too! : )

~It's Almost Time....~

...to start the recruiting process for the next group of Design Team Members! We are half-way thru the first round and everybody is doing great!

If you are interested in participating in this Design Team.... you need to send an email to DesignTeamCreations@yahoo.com and in your email you will need to include the following information.... your Cricut MB name, your real name & email addy, 3 to 5 photos of your best work and a list of your Cricut cartridges (don't worry if you don't own a lot of them!).

This is a two month commitment and we do our challenges on a bi-weekly basis.... every two weeks a challenge will be posted to this blog and you will have two weeks to complete it and email a photo and directions (or list of items used) to DesignTeamCreations@yahoo.com For each challenge you are required to use your Cricut along with any additional instructions given.

I know there were a lot of you wonderfully talented ladies that submitted pics for the first round... we would love to have you re-submit your work for another chance to show-off your talent!!! : )

Submissions will be accepted for the next two weeks. This is always a difficult decision but PLEASE.... if you are not accepted this time or during any previous submission-periods do NOT hesitate to resubmit your work each time it's open!

I'm looking forward to another great group of ladies to create with! : )

Oh, one more thing! If you are currently a DT Member.... you are also encouraged to "re-apply" !!! I would love to see this group grow! For the first round we only took on 8 members... I would love to add a few more each time we open another round!!!

All right! This is the second challenge we've had and I must say... I like what I'm seeing!

For this particular challenge we were required to use the word "BOO!", the colors Black, Orange, Yellow and Purple and we had to use glitter! I know a few of us don't really celebrate "Halloween" and that's OK... I'm one of them that doesn't but it turns out that my LO leans towards Halloween more than I wanted it too... but that's alright, too! LOL

I know we are waiting a few more to come in..... I'll get those posted as soon as I can unless Crystal gets to them before I do.....

For this challenge.... we are going to do a little Halloween project! (I think this is Crystal's favorite holiday! LOL) Here's what you need to do............. use the word "BOO!" OK! Here they are! I apologize for being late with these - I wanted to have them posted on the blog by yesterday but was having "issues" with my computer! : P Anyways....... here they are! I was going to post the "instructions" for each completed project but that's a lot of extra work so what I'm going to do is make a file for each challenge.... the instructions will be kept with the pictures that you send.... then if anybody wants the instructions I'll just email them to whomever wants them.... fair enough? : )

I know we have a few more that we are waiting on but that is alright... I'll add them as they come in! : ) Also, some people done more than one project for the challenge and that's OK to do! We love seeing everybody's work! : )

This challenge was relatively "easy".... we started out by just giving certain colors to use with your choice of Cricut Cartridges.... everybody done a great job! We have a little bit of everything here and I love how we all use the came colors but in different ways!

Hello Ladies! I just wanted to say, "Congrats!," to all of our wonderful Design Team members! Cindy and I can't wait to see what you come up with for the challenges. We will look forward to seeing your work....and being able to ooohhh and aaahhh over it, too! There were so many wonderful submissions - we hope that no one was discouraged and make sure to try again in two months when we pick the next design team.

Personally, I am very excited to be part of this blog and am so glad Cindy asked me to participate. I absolutely adore my Cricut and it has brought me so many new friends! She is a wonderful person and a gifted crafter as well! Can't wait to see her challenge concept, too! Me, I do have my challenge finished and should be posting it tomorrow. I am very nervous but hopefully y'all won't be too harsh on me! :) This has been very helpful in helping me to think outside of the box and try to use new techniques or products in ways I hadn't before. Ok Ladies! Here it is............ the very first Challenge!!! woooohooooo!!!! : )
I was so excited about this over the weekend that I actually started mine on Saturday night! There was no body home but me and the dog and so hey.... I had to do something!!! LOL I'm using the Doodlebug cart and possible the Pooh & Friends cart! : )

Alright.... for the first Challenge we would like you to use the following colors... Red, Orange, Yellow and Brown. You can also use any Cricut Cartridge you would like to use... just so you've used your Cricut! ; ) This can be a LO (1 or 2 page), a card or an altered item... whatever you choose!

Don't forget... keep those camera batteries charged so you can take & email your pics to us @ DesignTeamCreations@yahoo.com and also.... do NOT forget to write down all the details of your creation(s) because it will all be posted with the pics!

I don't know about Crystal but I'm so excited to see what you all are going to do with this Challenge!

This blog has been created especially for our new Design Team! I'm so excited to be able to share all of the beautiful creations with you that we will be working on!

Make sure you save this site in your favorites so you can visit us often! ; )

Every two weeks we will be posting new challenges for the team and they will have two weeks to work on their creations. Each challenge will revolve around our love for our Cricuts and all the fabulous carts we have! But with that said.... each challenge will be different and everybody will put their own spin on it!

You'll learn new techniques and see many different styles of creativity! We do ask though that if you "scraplift" anybodys ideas... that you please give credit where credit is due....... : )

This weekend we will be selecting our very first "Design Team Members"..... and believe me when I say this.......... it's going to be a very difficult decision......... everybody that submitted their work for this DT absolutely does a super fantastic job and I want each of you to know that I love all the different styles! If you are not selected this time around..... PLEASE do not be discouraged...... we are only having 10 team members at a time.... and we will be opening spots every two months.... so you can always re-submit your work and try again.

I have decided that I need a co-host to help keep me straight! LOL *she doesn't know what she's gotten herself into!!!! hahahahaha....... : ) So please......... welcome Crystal (aka Mrs.B.) to our team of amazing crafters!!!
